Target audience:
International medical specialists and general practitioners who like sharing their expertise and network with other doctors. In addition, this trip is best suited for doctors with a passion for nature, adventure and kitesurfing. Kitesurf level: from beginner to 'pro'.
Destination:
Our destination of choice is the enchanting country of Kenya, where we embark on a thrilling adventure known as a 'surfari.' This unique journey combines the exhilaration of kite downwinders with the allure of a road trip along the captivating east coast of Kenya, spanning from the north to the south. Our accommodations range from cozy beachfront villas to coastal hotels, carefully selected to strike the perfect balance between daily conference sessions and ample leisure time for kite surfing. We work with local partners, ensuring that we unearth the hidden gems of this coastal paradise. Together, we delve into the rich culture and stunning landscapes of Kenya, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Timing:
Avoid our long, cold and wet winter by joining us from January 24th to February 1st, 2025. With a wind chance of >90% in January and February, our conference date is the perfect period to go to Kenya. The average air temperature is 30 degrees, and the water temperature around 26 degrees, so you can leave your wetsuit at home and bring your boardshort or bikini!
Process:
Participants will be personally invited to this conference. A participant in this continued education course, will commit to the objectives of the congress and will engage pro-actively. This participation could have the form of a substantive contribution that is relevant to the group and/or the local doctors. In this process you will be guided by psychiatrist Niels Tinga, who is chairman of our scientific committee.
